You may be wondering who is behind this idea, and who created these characters and this concept… So here’s a little about me.

My name is Andrés, and I am a graphic designer and illustrator. I’ve always had a deep fascination with old-school cartoons and vintage illustrations. Alongside this, I have a strong love for nature and animals, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of our planet.

I truly believe that there is nothing more powerful—or more fulfilling—than connecting with nature. This is the message I want to share. Through Animals Retro, I hope to pass on that sense of wonder, calm, and appreciation for the natural world to new generations.

As we all know, we are living in challenging times. Technology is evolving rapidly, and the way we live and connect with others is constantly changing. Life feels faster, and often more stressful. Anxiety and screen dependency are becoming increasingly common, especially among younger generations.

That is why I created this project.

My intention is simple: to offer a small pause… a gentle break from screens and noise. A space where children (and families) can reconnect with themselves, rediscover calm, and remember the natural sense of peace and wisdom that already lives within them.
